London Marine Insurance Services (LMIS) has a bespoke facility in London that allows us to directly underwrite yacht business on behalf of leading insurers via delegated underwriting authorities.

Our facilities enable us to write vessels generally up to a combined limit of USD / EUR 5 million on a worldwide basis including the Caribbean. The in-house team use a bespoke yacht underwriting platform that LMIS has invested considerable effort in developing with its IT partner. This provides us with a best in class, world leading yacht quoting and administration system that enables quick and efficient quotations and document production for our clients and producers.

London Marine’s underwriting team evaluates risks based on a plethora of factors such as the vessel’s value, cruising area, intended use and loss record. The boating experience and qualification of the vessel’s owner and crew are also taken into consideration, giving us the ability to paint a complete picture of every risk presented to us. To tailor coverage to the unique requirements of each client, we utilise a combination of bespoke data analysis tools and industry expertise.
